On Wednesday during Apple's Surprise and Shine keynote, they announced a new AppleCare plan called AppleCare One Family.

The new AppleCare Plan is a new way for U.S. customers to protect every eligible device using Family Sharing for up to 6 people. It comes with the same benefits as AppleCare+: accidental damage, battery replacements, priority support, and theft and loss protection for eligible iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch models. The plan offers 6 claims per year.

When one member of the Apple Family signs up for the subscription, they will have the option to add unlimited devices for each member of the family, including "most devices less than four years old and in good working condition." At no extra cost.

To enable the plan, an Apple iCloud account must set up Family Sharing in the Settings app on iPhone, iPad, or Mac, and invite up to five other people to join the family. Eligible devices that are signed in with the same iCloud account as family members can be covered under the same subscription.

‌AppleCare‌ One Family will be available in the United States starting September 14.
